What happens during the procedure?
BOTOX is considered to be most effective when administered around the eyes and forehead but other areas of the face and neck can be treated. The procedure is usually performed in your doctor’s office and takes between 10-30 minutes.
Although there is some discomfort involved with the injections, there is virtually no pain afterwards.
Effects are not immediate. It takes four or five days for the injected muscles to be completely affected by the BOTOX® and, in some areas, it can take two weeks to see the effects.
How soon does normal life resume?
You can go back to work and resume regular activities right after the treatment. It is important, however, to keep the head upright for 4 to 6 hours and to avoid touching or massaging the treated area. |
